You'll find an interactive map of the Stavanger, Norway area above, though you can't access the little yellow pegman from that map. Use the link below it "View Larger Map", and the map will appear on your monitor; drag the little Yellow Man onto the map, let go while he's over a blue area, and start exploring. Find an interesting subject/area. Change it all you want. Or paint it straight up as you see it. Instructions are in the sidebar to the right. Any questions, ask 'em in the comments or email me directly.
I do believe you will enjoy Stavanger, Norway this month. Stavanger and the surrounding area that is available on Street View offers a wide range of subject matter. From sea coasts, with boats and docks, to beautiful farm scenes, areas with no habitation, and urban centers. Should be something for everyone, no matter your preference. And the area is quite a bit smaller than the last couple of months, so it shouldn't be overwhelming finding a subject to paint or draw.
Thanks again to Google, as they have given their permission for artists to use Street View as a reference for paintings that can then be sold without fear of copyright infringement.

How did you choose Stavanger?
I visited Stavanger Norway in 1994 It's so totally charming and beautiful that I can't wait to virtually visit again and paint a picture there.
Hi Sumabokemo. Chose it like I do all others. By visiting virtually. Making sure there are ample opportunities for all artists not matter what subject they like to paint. No real reason for the exact location.
Hi how are you?
I was looking through your blog, and I found it interesting, and inspiring to me, so I thought why not leave you a comment.
I have a blog also obviously and would like to invite you to become my blog friend.
I mostly post about the Southern California experience through the perspective of my art.
Maybe you can become my pal, and follow, and I can also follow you, if that is okay.
Well I hope to hear from you soon... :)
These are wonderful! I was in Stavanger back in 1975/76. Don't know if I'll get around to painting an image. But, I like what you're doing and the paintings are great!
Hi Bill great set of paintings! I've got an impression the numbers are increasing month on month. Can you let me know what the numbers are and what the trend looks like and I'll comment on this when you post a link to the new site for April on The Art of the Landscape
Thanks
Katherine
